How do I join the Donate The Change fundraising service?

It’s simple – you just need to be a charity registered in the UK to apply. We work with charities of all sizes to help them get closer to their supporters and raise money. Fill in the contact form above and we’ll get back to you to explain the service and how you can be part of it.

How much does it cost charities?

We are committed to reducing the charity’s fundraising cost to zero and will share our commercial model with you once you have signed our NDA.

Can any charitable cause join? Do I need a charity number?

We can help you fundraise if you are registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, or the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, or HMRC for charities in Northern Ireland. If you are not registered with one of these bodies, get in touch using our contact form and we’ll see if there is something that we can do to help.

Can I design or brand the payment accessories for my charity?

The service comes with a range of payment accessories including silicone bracelets and keyrings, with semi-precious jewellery and rings on their way. If you want a payment accessory printed with your logo, created using your corporate sponsor brand colours, or if you want something completely different, we will try and make it happen! For further information, please fill out the contact form above and we will be happy to discuss options with you.

How do I communicate with my supporters?

The service lets you engage with your supporters in a timely and relevant way via digital channels. Supporters access the service online or using the Donate The Change app. There is a message inbox where you can send relevant updates to your supporters about the impact their donations are having.

Can I request a contract to read?

We will be happy to share our business terms with you once you have signed our NDA. Please get in touch using our contact form to arrange.

How do my corporate partners benefit from this service?

Corporate partners can take the opportunity to promote their brand through sponsoring and co-branding the service with you. Their goods and services can also be included as part of the rewards programme offered to our community of engaged supporters.

How does the reward programme work?

As supporters engage with the service they are appreciated, thanked, and rewarded at various intervals with treats and offers from our network of retail partners. The more they use the service, the more treats and offers we make available to them. We never share supporters’ personal information with any retail partners when offering rewards to supporters.

Who owns the data?

The supporter owns their data, and consents for us to run the fundraising service using their personal information. Supporters can also consent to receiving marketing material from Donate The Change, and separately, from their chosen charity. Where that is the case, Donate The Change will pass that consent over to the charity so they can also communicate with the supporter.
We can share more information to help with your security due diligence process once you have signed our NDA, get in touch using our contact form.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Our service is compliant with applicable UK data protection laws.

Can we sell the payment accessories through our retail shops as well as online?

The service is currently delivered online only but we are developing a retail proposition, which will be available soon.

Can a supporter change the charity they donate to?

No. The current service is designed for supporters to have a relationship with just one charity. If they want to support more than one charity, they would need to register for two separate accounts with us. In the future, if a supporter buys their accessory directly from us, they will be able to swap charities or donate to more than one charity.
