Donate The Change continues the drive to make the service available to any UK charity.
[London, March 2018]: Social impact fintech innovators, Donate The Change, expand their beta programme by teaming up with a further 10 charities. The new partnerships were driven by the successful beta launch in 2017 and aim to offer customers a wider selection of charities to support, as well as expanding the Donate The Change digital giving solution in the market. Donate The Change will be launching 10 new charities on their website in the coming weeks and have ambitions to bring on a further 10 charities by the end of the quarter. The initial 5 charity partners on the site include; The Little Princess Trust, Muscular Dystrophy UK, Schools For Nepal, Action For Kids, and Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Charity.
Since launching we have seen growth of over 300% in average monthly donations per donor and nearly £90 per donor per month of money being loaded onto each wearable. In addition average transaction values have also increased by over 400%. This is fantastic news and proves that donors trust the Donate the Change service and paying with an accessory is becoming habitual.
During the early stages of the beta launch consumer insights have revealed how Donate The Change is enabling people to donate more easily and more frequently than they have done previously. In addition the contactless accessories themselves have proved to be popular and provide an easier way to pay for those with physical disabilities. The beta is expected to run until the end of June, and during this time Donate The Change will be refining their full launch proposition and enriching the experience for charities and consumers.
Mike Dunn, CEO Donate The Change said, “We are delighted to welcome the new charities to the service after the initial success of our launch last year. We will continue to be the charity champions and drive forward innovation within the charity sector and beyond.”
Muscular Dystrophy UK said, “Donate the Change makes it easier than ever to help fund vital research into Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Research is moving forward faster than ever before, help us make a difference and find a cure for Duchenne.”

About Donate The Change
Donate The Change is a social impact fintech business powering a new era in charity fundraising by linking fintech and trends in consumer behaviour to enhance the donor experience whilst enabling charities to diversify their fundraising revenue streams.
The Donate The Change wearables, currently available as keyrings and bracelets, contain a prepaid chip that link to a secure digital wallet and can be used by anyone holding a UK-registered Mastercard or Visa debit or credit card.
When a purchase is made, it triggers an automatic donation to the user’s chosen charity, based on simple donation rules which the user sets and controls. Users manage their donations via an easy to use app which pairs with their wearable, enabling them to monitor their real-time balance and gain access to their transaction history.
This fully managed technology service requires no merchant involvement or investment from charities, meaning it can be immediately leveraged by charities of any size through all contactless payment points throughout the UK, currently close to 600,000.
