Donate The Change selected as Finalist in Thames Valley Tech Awards 2018

16.04.2018

Here at Donate The Change we are passionate about making a positive impact on society. Our initial program will make donating to charity as easy and cost effective as possible. We have been working hard throughout our Beta programme to learn and improve our service to ensure we create something that works for charities and their supporters. We have received some great feedback from users and charities about Donate The Change and we are excited to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in the Thames Valley Tech Awards 2018 in the Tech Start- Up Business category, sponsored by ConnectTVT.  This category is for the most exciting tech start-ups in the Thames Valley region, and we are delighted to be featured alongside 4 fantastic companies; EcoSync, Limbick Labs, Osokey, Serelay.

Often called the UK’s Silicon Valley, the Thames Valley region has a strong technological reputation which has contributed significantly to the area’s economy for over 20 years. Conveniently located on the M4 corridor it homes key international tech companies such as CA Technologies, Cisco, Huawei, Fijitsu, Microsoft and Oracle. Furthermore the region supports tech start-ups to scale ‘as the digital revolution takes hold’.

This year Elcot Media & Events – the premier business events organiser in the region – is launching the Thames Valley Tech Awards. The first TVTA will be staged by The Business Magazine on May 24, 2018, and will be a major focal point for the sector.  Donate The Change is delighted to be attending the event and the chance to showcase our service to major players the Tech Community.

About Connect TVT : Tech Start-Up Award Sponsor

ConnectTVT was launched in June 2014 to “put the Thames Valley back on the tech and digital cluster maps” that we had disappeared from. Being rich in established, mature tech-based businesses, global giants have been critical to the region’s economy but had also made us become a victim of our own success. We had taken our eye off the ball about we how we were perceived; at a national level we were “off the radar”. The vision for ConnectTVT was to give an amplified voice to the innovative companies in the Thames Valley through a rich events programme.
